More SB800

More experimenting, this time I wanted to try the SB800 as a single light source through a softbox, when you position the softbox close to your subject (or vice-versa) it gives the impression of a big window with soft wrap-around type lighting Cath was actually about 12 – 18 inches or away from the softbox, the flash was set at 1/64th power so re-cycling time was next to nothing and my shutter speed was 1/250th sec which eliminated any of the ambient light there was in the room, aperture was F2.8 as I remember, so focusing on the eyes was critical. My latest favourite portrait editing work flow was used for this shot. Another interesting (or nerdy) point to note is the wall behind was actually white but due to the light fall off due to the inverse square law it appears almost black.
